Fatal Barry County crash death of Tristin Prentice – Obituary.
A tragic head-on collision on Friday, October 25, resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man in Barry County. The accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. on State Road near Wood School Road, northwest of Hastings.
According to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Tristin Prentice, a resident of Hastings, was driving a Mercury Milan southeast when his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a Lincoln Navigator driven by a 41-year-old woman from Clarksville. Prentice was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services, including the Hastings Fire Department and AMR Ambulance, assisted at the scene. The woman involved in the crash was transported to a hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
