Kristen Avelar dies in fatal Las Vegas incident
Fatal Las Vegas incident death of Kristen Avelar – Obituary.
Authorities have identified a woman found deceased inside luggage in Las Vegas as Kristen Avelar, a 46-year-old from Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The body was discovered earlier this month after the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report near Spencer Street and East Reno Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located Avelar’s body stuffed inside luggage adjacent to an apartment complex. Medical personnel confirmed her death at the scene. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has since confirmed her identity.
Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding Avelar’s death, the LVMPD Homicide Section has taken over the investigation. Detectives are urging anyone who knew Avelar or has information regarding her activities leading up to her death to reach out to them directly.
