Marjorielle Evans dies in tragic Wichita car accident
Fatal Wichita car crash claims the life of Marjorielle Evans – Obituary
Marjorielle Evans, a mother of seven from Wichita, Kansas, lost her life in a car accident earlier this month, leaving her family and loved ones in deep mourning. Known for her bright and uplifting personality, Marjorielle was crossing Meridian near 47th Street South on October 10 when she was struck by a vehicle.
Her brother, Treyvon Evans, recounted the painful memory of being with his sister in her final moments, describing the heartbreak of witnessing her last breath. Marjorielle’s cousin, Laquita Smith, has now taken on the responsibility of caring for five of her children. Laquita spoke of the challenge of explaining Marjorielle’s passing to her young children, especially as only two of them are old enough to fully understand the loss.
Marjorielle’s aunt, Mary Baker, shared words of wisdom, urging others to cherish their loved ones while they are still present. She hopes Marjorielle’s story serves as a reminder to express love and gratitude each day.
The family has faced difficulty arranging her funeral, with services tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, at Heavenly Gates Mortuary, 615 W. Maple.
