Authorities have identified 25-year-old Angel Cruz Puga of Farmersville as the victim of a deadly shooting that took place at a Halloween party near Farmersville early Sunday morning. Around 1 a.m., neighbors on Road 166 reported hearing multiple gunshots, prompting 911 calls and sending residents into alarm.
According to Tulare County Sheriff’s Lt. Bryan Clower, Cruz Puga attended the party but felt uneasy and decided to leave. It was during his departure that the shooting occurred. The party, originally intended for a small group of about 40 family and friends, had unexpectedly grown to over 200 attendees, creating a chaotic environment.
The investigation has proven complex due to costumes and the large number of attendees, and detectives are actively reviewing evidence. The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has encouraged the public to contact them with any information that might aid in resolving the case.
