In a tragic incident, four individuals lost their lives in a fire in southwest Las Vegas. The Clark County Fire Department responded to the blaze on Langhorne Creek Street near Shelbourne and Jones early Thursday morning.
Fire crews faced significant challenges as they attempted to access the home, struggling against the intense heat and ultimately being forced out. Two teams managed to enter through the garage, but the structure began to collapse, endangering their safety.
The Clark County coroner identified the victims as 48-year-old Ibrahim Adem, 43-year-old Abdusalem Adem, 7-year-old Anaya Adem, and 6-year-old Aaliyah Adem.
In remembrance, neighbors have created a memorial across the street, adorned with flowers, stuffed animals, and candles. The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation is actively collecting donations to support the family affected by this devastating event. Donations will be accepted until November 24, with all proceeds going directly to the grieving family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with Clark County Fire Chief John Steinbeck indicating that it may take some time to determine the details.
