Authorities have identified Jovanye Miller, a 31-year-old resident of South Yarmouth, as the driver who tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident on Saturday morning. The incident occurred on Route 25, near mile marker 3.2, when Miller’s red Range Rover swerved off the overpass and overturned into Mill Pond.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash at approximately 9:05 a.m., and responders from the Wareham Police and Fire Departments, as well as Massachusetts State Police, quickly arrived on the scene. Investigators noted tire marks indicating the vehicle had been traveling eastbound before veering off the road.
Miller was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and upon recovery, he was pronounced dead at the scene around 3:58 p.m. The Plymouth County District Attorney’s office reported that no foul play is suspected in this tragic accident, which has left the community in mourning.
