Authorities have confirmed that Robin Blankinship, a 54-year-old resident of Lakeside, was the individual who tragically lost her life in a traffic accident on state Route 76 near Lake Henshaw. The incident occurred on October 16, shortly before 5 p.m., when Blankinship lost control of her 2014 Toyota Sienna.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, her vehicle veered off the road about half a mile east of Mesa Grande Road, struck several trees, and overturned. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
