A jury has found Mason Jeter guilty of vehicular homicide in connection with a deadly crash that took place on September 21, 2023, in Charlotte County. The incident occurred when the 21-year-old was racing his 2022 Ford Mustang GT against another vehicle, a Dodge Challenger SRT, on southbound Interstate 75. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jeter was driving at an alarming speed of 110 MPH on bald tires, which ultimately led him to lose control and collide with the other car.
The crash resulted in the death of the second driver involved. Following the verdict, Jeter is now awaiting formal sentencing as the case comes to a close.
