Authorities have identified Devonte Parissi, a 22-year-old from Central Falls, as one of the victims in a tragic crash involving a garbage truck in Johnston. The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. on Thursday when a Toyota Corolla, carrying three occupants, crossed into oncoming traffic on Hartford Avenue and collided head-on with a MEGA Disposal garbage truck.
Parissi, who was driving the Corolla, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another fatality in the crash was identified as Kendell Dublin, also 22, from Taunton. The third passenger, a 22-year-old man from Attleboro, remains in critical condition following the accident.
The driver of the garbage truck emerged from the collision without injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
