Atlanta police are looking into a tragic incident that resulted in the death of Gidget Allen, a grandmother, along Ponce de Leon Avenue on Sunday night. The crash occurred in the 400 block of the road, near Mary Mac’s Tea Room, shortly after 7:45 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Allen, who had been struck by a vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported seeing medics attempting to revive her, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
