A tragic incident unfolded in Willingboro Township, New Jersey, where 37-year-old Junior Edwards was charged with the shooting deaths of Catherine Nunez, 33, and her mother, Marisol Nunez, 54. The killings occurred early on October 30, and Edwards was taken into custody on November 2 in Philadelphia on unrelated charges.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Acting Public Safety Director Captain Ian Bucs, officers were dispatched to the residence on Harrington Circle around 4 a.m. after receiving reports of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, they discovered both victims in an upstairs bedroom, where they were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that the assailant entered through a smashed first-floor window, and the suspected weapon was found outside the home. Edwards faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and armed burglary, with autopsies confirming that both victims died from multiple gunshot wounds. The couple’s young son was present in the home during the incident but was unharmed.
