Fatal Church Point ultralight plane crash death of Nick Van Houten – Obituary
The National Transportation Safety Board has issued a preliminary report following a tragic ultralight plane accident in Church Point. The Acadia Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the victim of the crash was 47-year-old Nick Van Houten from Sunset. The ultralight aircraft crashed in a field located off LA 95, also known as Pitreville Highway, and Sonnier Drive, just a few miles north of Church Point.
