Fatal Wicomico County shooting death of Tevin Mumford – Obituary
On the evening of October 28, Tevin Mumford, 32, from Salisbury, Maryland, was fatally shot, and Maryland State Police are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. The incident, which occurred on the 800 block of West Road in Wicomico County, also left a second man injured.
Around 7:30 p.m., police were called to the scene, where they found Mumford with gunshot injuries. He was transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional by ambulance but did not survive his wounds. Another victim, Ekoye Emmanuel Spates, 33, was taken to TidalHealth by a bystander and later transferred to Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware due to the seriousness of his injuries.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, working to uncover what led to the shooting. No suspect has been identified, and law enforcement is urging anyone with information to reach out to their tip line at 410-548-1776. All tips can be given anonymously as authorities continue their efforts to resolve the case.
