Fatal Stonewall County car crash death of Daniel Delane Young – Obituary
On Sunday, Daniel Delane Young, 51, of Aspermont, tragically died in a single-vehicle accident near Hamlin, Texas, as reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The crash occurred around 5:07 p.m., approximately 5.5 miles north of Hamlin on U.S. Highway 83.
DPS investigators found that Young was traveling north in a 2004 Toyota Corolla when the car veered off course, crossing into the opposite lane before leaving the roadway. The vehicle ultimately collided with a tree and ignited, resulting in extensive fire damage. Young was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Stonewall County Justice of the Peace Darla Pearson pronounced Young dead at 6:10 p.m. Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Kipp Koenig led the investigation, with assistance from THP Trooper Tommy Hill and Stonewall County sheriff’s Deputy Gordon Walker.
