Fatal Elkton shooting death of Darius Blalock – Obituary
A quadruple shooting in Elkton, Maryland, on Saturday, November 2, resulted in the death of 26-year-old Darius Blalock from Bear, Delaware. Another victim, Tamir Davis, also 26, from New Castle, Delaware, was killed in the incident. The shooting occurred around 6 a.m. following an altercation during a gathering outside a home on Chestnut Drive.
According to Maryland State Police, the situation escalated when an unidentified individual exited the house and opened fire into a crowd gathered outside. The crowd quickly dispersed, fleeing the scene. Officers responded to reports of a man down in the street, where they discovered Blalock suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. Davis was pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital, while Blalock was found lying on the side of I-95.
A woman was also injured in the shooting and is being treated at a hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Maryland State Police at the North East Barrack.
