Samantha Jo Moss, 35, of St. Louis Park, has been identified as the third victim who succumbed to injuries from a triple shooting that occurred at a homeless encampment in Minneapolis. The incident took place on October 27 along some railroad tracks at the 4400 block of Snelling Avenue, where two other individuals, 38-year-old Christopher Martell Washington and 32-year-old Louis Mitchell Lemons Jr., also lost their lives.
Following the shooting, another woman was critically injured and subsequently died on Saturday. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Moss’s death resulted from multiple gunshot wounds, categorizing it as a homicide.
Authorities are investigating Earl Bennett, 40, as the suspected shooter. Bennett was hospitalized after being shot by police in St. Paul’s Midway area shortly after the incident. He is also believed to be involved in another shooting that occurred on Columbus Avenue South, which left a man in critical condition.
