Fatal Plymouth County motorcycle crash death of Jacob Foss – Obituary
Jacob Foss, 28, of Pembroke, Massachusetts, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Thursday afternoon in Norwell. The crash, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Pond Street, involved a Toyota Tacoma truck attempting a left turn into a business establishment. The truck was struck by the Kawasaki motorcycle Foss was riding, causing severe injuries. He was transported to South Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Foss, a former Marine and police officer with the MBTA Transit Police and Hingham Police, was known for his deep love of animals and nature. He had a passion for motorcycles and weightlifting. Described by his loved ones as compassionate, generous, and full of energy, Jacob’s big heart and infectious smile will be greatly missed. His funeral services are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, with donations to the Scituate Animal Shelter encouraged in his memory.
