Fatal Monterey, CA hit-and-run death of Maddie Elizabeth Fletcher – Obituary
Maddie Elizabeth Fletcher, 19, of Shelby, North Carolina, was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Highway 1 near Aguajito Road in Monterey Sunday morning. Around 9:48 a.m., a silver Nissan struck the black Honda she was driving, causing the Honda to lose control and crash into a tree. The Nissan fled the scene, continuing northbound.
Fletcher was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, and further details have not been released.
