Dorothy L. Ilot dies in fatal Mashpee car accident
Fatal Mashpee car accident death of Dorothy L. Ilot – Obituary
Mashpee Police have identified Dorothy L. Ilot, 92, as the victim of a tragic accident that took place last Friday morning on Job’s Fishing Road. The incident occurred around 7:21 AM when Ilot, who was out walking her dog, was struck by a single vehicle. Her dog was killed at the scene, and she sustained severe injuries, leading to her being transported to Falmouth Hospital.
Ms. Ilot succumbed to her injuries the following day, on Saturday, November 9.
The driver involved remained on the scene and cooperated as Mashpee Police launched their investigation. The case is still under review, with assistance from the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team.
