Jamere Milligan dies in fatal North Charleston shooting

Fatal North Charleston shooting death of Jamere Milligan – Obituary

Jamere Milligan, a 16-year-old student at North Charleston High School, succumbed to a gunshot wound at the Medical University of South Carolina around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. He had sustained the injury less than an hour earlier.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 6 p.m. on Chestnut Street, where they found Milligan lying in the street, critically wounded. He was transported to the hospital but sadly passed away shortly after.

A suspect was taken into custody on Monday night, and the North Charleston Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
