Fatal Prince George’s County shooting death of Morris Ronaldo Haskins Jr. – Obituary
Morris Ronaldo Haskins Jr. lost his life after being critically injured in a shooting during a candlelight vigil at Walker Mill Regional Park in Prince George’s County. The vigil, which took place around 6 p.m. Friday, was being held for a separate, unrelated homicide.
A sudden altercation erupted during the gathering of roughly 50 people, leading to more than 20 shots fired, sending attendees fleeing for safety. Police arrived on the scene within minutes, finding Haskins critically wounded. He was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
At this time, authorities have not identified any suspects or motive. Maryland National Capital Park Police and the Prince George’s County Police Department are actively investigating and ask anyone with information to come forward to aid in their investigation.
