A 60-year-old woman, Wendy Coffman from Fresno, tragically lost her life on Saturday after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Clovis Avenue in a wheelchair. The incident occurred in southeast Fresno near Inyo Street. According to Fresno Police, the vehicle was traveling northbound when it hit Coffman and then fled the scene.
Coffman was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries. Investigators are working to gather information on the suspect vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
