Cornell University has confirmed that the body recovered from Fall Creek gorge belonged to Winter Knutson, an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences. The body was secured by rescue crews after a three-hour operation on Sunday morning.
In addition, Vice President for Student and Campus Life, Ryan Lombardi, stated that another student was rescued earlier that same day from the same location. However, details surrounding that individual’s condition were not disclosed.
