Fatal Oildale pedestrian accident death of Ronald Thomas Steele – Obituary
Authorities have identified Ronald Thomas Steele, 39, of Bakersfield, as the victim of a fatal pedestrian accident early Wednesday morning in Oildale.
The incident occurred at 5:46 a.m. on China Grade Loop near Bedford Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, Steele was walking outside of a crosswalk when he stepped into the path of a westbound Toyota.
Steele was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota remained on-site and fully cooperated with the investigation.
