Paul Bigos, a 37-year-old man from Dighton, lost his life in a tragic accident on I-95 in Groton, Connecticut, late Thursday evening. State police reported that the crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. when a Subaru Impreza, traveling north, veered off the road into the grass median and struck a parked construction truck.
Following the collision, the Subaru came to rest in the travel lanes, with Bigos trapped inside. Emergency responders quickly extricated him and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The construction truck involved in the crash was unoccupied, and no other individuals were part of the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
