Fatal Frisco shooting death of Ja’Karrion Craig – Obituary

A Denton man has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of 22-year-old Ja’Karrion Craig near a Walmart in Frisco on Wednesday evening. The shooting occurred at Eldorado Parkway and FM423, prompting a swift police response.

The Frisco Police Department, in cooperation with the Denton Police Department, arrested 22-year-old Jerry Bernard Johnson at his residence in the 1300 block of Dallas Drive on Thursday morning. Johnson is accused of fatally shooting Craig at approximately 8:23 p.m. near the Walmart located at 12220 FM423.

Police responded to a report of gunfire, where the caller mentioned hearing shots and seeing a gray sedan fleeing the scene. Johnson is also under investigation for a suspicious break-in at the same apartment unit after Frisco police executed a search warrant related to the case.
