Fatal El Paso freeway incident death of Rachel Kelly Villalobos – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed that Rachel Kelly Villalobos, 45, of El Paso, died after being struck by multiple vehicles on October 30. Police reported that Villalobos was lying on the I-10 West entrance ramp near Piedras when she got up and ran onto the freeway just before 6 a.m.

 

As she ran, a westbound Jeep Wrangler was unable to avoid her, and the vehicle collided with her. After the initial crash, two more vehicles struck her, leading to fatal injuries. The Special Traffic Investigations Unit is handling the case, and the cause of the incident is believed to be the pedestrian on the roadway.

 

This marks the 57th fatality in El Paso this year.
