Fatal Castle Hill crash death of Dorilys Ramos – Obituary
A tragic crash in Castle Hill on Saturday morning left 27-year-old Dorilys Ramos dead and two others injured. Dimas Cuadrado, 43, of the Bronx, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter and multiple other offenses after he crashed his vehicle while driving drunk.
The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Randall Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue. Cuadrado was driving northbound when his 2011 Lincoln MK-X collided with a 2017 Infiniti Q60S traveling westbound. The impact sent the Infiniti into a parked vehicle, and Cuadrado’s car continued, striking two additional parked cars.
Ramos, who was a passenger in the Infiniti, was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. A 27-year-old male driver from the Infiniti was also hospitalized in stable condition. Cuadrado’s vehicle also contained a 37-year-old female passenger who sustained minor injuries and was treated at the hospital.
Cuadrado was charged with first- and second-degree vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and two counts of driving while intoxicated. The investigation is ongoing.
