On Thursday, Nov. 14, 31-year-old Jessica Yax tragically lost her life after a fall in the parking lot of the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City. Around 4:40 p.m., Yax slipped while walking through the lot on 9th Street and fell directly in front of a vehicle. The vehicle, driven by a 58-year-old man from Saginaw, struck her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has been cooperating with authorities, and there is no indication of speeding or intoxication. Police are continuing their investigation, with the case set to be reviewed by the Bay County Prosecutor’s Office.
