Fatal Mountain Brook car crash death of Robert Ashley May Jr. – Obituary

On October 12, 2024, Robert Ashley May Jr., 33, tragically lost his life in a single-car crash in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Police responded to the incident around 1:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Montclair Road, where they found May ejected from the vehicle. Despite being transported to UAB Hospital, he later died from his injuries.

 

Further investigation revealed that a second car, driven by Hanna Williams, was involved and left the scene before officers arrived. Witnesses reported that the second vehicle was driving recklessly at a high speed, contributing to the fatal crash. Williams, 30, was arrested on November 15 and charged with reckless manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident. The case remains under investigation.
