Fatal Bessemer train accident death of Roderick Miquel Cook Jr. – Obituary
Roderick Miquel Cook Jr., 32, of Bessemer, was tragically struck and killed by an Amtrak train on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. while Cook was walking on a railroad crossing. He was pronounced dead ten minutes later, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Authorities from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Cook’s death.
