Tracy Allen Godfrey, 54, of Indianapolis, died Sunday afternoon after a crash on the city’s south side. The incident occurred around 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Heathwood Drive and South Emerson Avenue, involving a motorcycle and a car. Godfrey, the motorcyclist, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The car’s driver was not injured and cooperated with investigators. The crash occurred when the car attempted to turn eastbound onto Heathwood Drive from southbound Emerson Avenue, colliding with Godfrey. A blood test is being conducted on the car’s driver as part of standard procedure for fatal accidents in Indiana.
