William Shelburne, 66, of Lincoln, died in a house fire early Friday morning near 57th and Fremont streets. Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to the scene just before midnight, where they found the home filled with smoke and a burning odor in the air. Authorities believe Shelburne was smoking while using an oxygen tank, which may have contributed to the fire. The front window was broken, and foam was seen running down the siding as fire crews worked to contain the blaze.
