Fatal Sandoval County car crash claims the lives of Craig Miller, 36, his young children, and unborn baby – Obituary.
The Rio Rancho Police Department has officially named the victims of a devastating car accident that occurred on November 13, 2024. Among those who lost their lives are Craig Miller, 36, his six-year-old son Craig Miller Jr., his infant daughter Laila Miller, and the family’s unborn child, who was 26 weeks along.
The crash took place around 5:31 p.m. near King Boulevard NW and Sheba Drive NW in Sandoval County. It involved a Nissan Pathfinder carrying the Miller family and a Toyota Sequoia driven by Francisco Paredes, 46. Authorities reported that the mother and two other children, aged 4 and 8, sustained significant injuries but are currently in stable condition.
Paredes, the driver of the other vehicle, remains in critical condition at a local hospital, where medical staff are working to save his life.
Captain Jacquelynn Reedy of the Rio Rancho Police Department expressed the profound grief felt by the community, stating, “The loss of such young, vibrant lives, alongside the tragedy of an unborn child who will never experience the love of their family, is an immeasurable tragedy. We extend our deepest sympathies to all who are affected and stand in unity with the families during this time of grief.”
The cause of the accident is still under investigation as officials work to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
