Denzel Owuraku Quaicoo dies in fatal Newport News tractor-trailer crash
Fatal Newport News tractor-trailer crash death of Denzel Owuraku Quaicoo – Obituary
Denzel Owuraku Quaicoo, 22, of Woodbridge, Virginia, tragically lost his life in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-64 in Newport News early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. near Lee Hall, according to Virginia State Police.
Quaicoo, driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, veered off the road and collided with a stationary 2023 International tractor-trailer parked on the highway shoulder. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A female passenger in the vehicle was severely injured and trapped inside. She was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
