Fatal Humboldt head-on crash death of Eric Guenther – Obituary
Eric Guenther, 57, of Humboldt, Kansas, lost his life early Monday morning in a tragic head-on collision on 800th Road near Owl Creek, just west of Humboldt. The crash occurred around 4:40 a.m. when Guenther’s Dodge Dakota went into a spin and collided with a southbound Ford Ranger.
Guenther was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford, a 53-year-old man from Humboldt, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Authorities believe that rainy weather conditions contributed to the accident.
