Fatal Minnehaha County crash death of Robert Stephen Bell – Obituary

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Robert Stephen Bell, 81, of Jasper, Minnesota, tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on November 14. The crash occurred around 6:19 p.m. on SD Highway 11, three miles north of Garretson.

Bell was a passenger in a 2020 Buick Encore driven by a 71-year-old woman when it collided with a 2015 Kia Sorento. The Kia’s driver, a 33-year-old man, failed to yield at a stop sign while traveling eastbound on 250th Street, resulting in the crash. Bell was pronounced dead at the scene, while the drivers of both vehicles sustained serious injuries, though none were life-threatening.

Authorities report that dense fog was a contributing factor in the accident, and all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
