Shenouda Faltas, an 18-year-old from Helensburgh, appeared in Sutherland Local Court on November 14 after pleading guilty to several charges related to a series of offenses, including knife possession and negligent driving. The charges stemmed from an incident that took place on August 23, where Faltas allegedly ran over a pedestrian outside Sutherland Hospital.
According to court documents, Faltas unintentionally drove his Holden Colorado over the pedestrian’s foot just before 6 a.m. Authorities later tested him for drugs and alcohol.
During a search of his car, police reportedly found two knives. Faltas explained that one knife was for work, but he could not provide a reason for having the second one.
Faltas appeared in court dressed in a black puffer hoodie, facing charges of knife possession, negligent driving, and driving while disqualified. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
