Fatal Decatur shooting death of Anthony P. Beckley – Obituary
Anthony P. Beckley, a 35-year-old resident of Decatur, was fatally shot during an incident on the evening of November 18. The preliminary investigation suggests the shooting occurred amid an attempted home invasion in a residence located in the 2000 block of East Damon Avenue.
According to Macon County Coroner Michael E. Day, Beckley suffered multiple gunshot wounds, which caused significant internal injuries and severe internal bleeding. An autopsy conducted the following day confirmed these findings.
