On the evening of November 19, 2024, Amanda A. Godfrey, 40, of Norfolk, tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident. Authorities responded to a call at approximately 10:10 p.m. about a woman lying in the roadway on the 1600 block of Wilson Road.
Initial investigations revealed that Amanda had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. She was pronounced dead at the location.
