Fatal Crane County crash death of Gary Don Liles – Obituary
A tragic crash in Crane County, Texas, on November 20, 2024, claimed the lives of four people, including three teens from Buena Vista ISD. The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. when a 2024 GMC Sierra, driven by 48-year-old Gary Don Liles of Odessa, collided head-on with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler.
According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Liles was traveling southbound on FM 1053 when the Jeep, driven by 18-year-old Jackie Jurado Perkins, was headed north. Perkins’ twin brother, Jaden Jurado Perkins, and their 16-year-old sister, Nautica Carrasco, were also in the Jeep. Upon impact, the Jeep caught fire, and all three teens were declared dead at the scene. Liles was rushed to a hospital in Odessa, where he later passed away from his injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
