The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that Isaac James Palacio, 24, was the man killed after being struck by a vehicle near Interstate 5 and East Cypress Avenue early Sunday morning, November 17. The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. when authorities responded to reports of a pedestrian involved in a crash with a vehicle. Palacio was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The California Highway Patrol and the Shasta County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
