Fatal Blue Lake electrocution death of Jason Quinton Miller – Obituary
On November 2, authorities from the Humboldt County Sheriff–Coroner’s office investigated a death at an abandoned power plant in Blue Lake. The Humboldt County Coroner’s Office confirmed the deceased as Jason Quinton Miller, 50, a resident of Blue Lake.
The autopsy revealed that Miller died from electrocution, accompanied by severe thermal burns, a fatal fall from a height, and complications related to chronic methamphetamine use.
Miller had reportedly been living in a nearby encampment prior to the incident. At the time of his death, he was trespassing on city property and appeared to be attempting to remove copper wire from an active power line.
