Fatal Plymouth car crash death of Amiela Scarlette Lee – Obituary
Amiela Scarlette Lee, a 35-year-old resident of New Britain, tragically lost her life in a four-vehicle collision on Tuesday in Plymouth, Connecticut.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Poland Brook Road (Route 72) and Bemis Street. The crash involved three passenger vehicles and a state Department of Transportation dump truck.
Emergency responders, including firefighters led by Fire Chief Mark Sekorski, worked tirelessly for an hour using the Jaws of Life to extricate Lee from her vehicle. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other individuals involved in the accident required hospitalization. Authorities closed Route 72 between North Main Street and Preston Road for several hours following the crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation as officials work to determine the events leading up to the tragedy.
