Seventeen-year-old Lauren Lewis tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident on Argyle Forest Boulevard in Jacksonville on Tuesday evening.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Spencers Trace Drive around 6:15 p.m. when a pickup truck pulled out in front of Lewis’s motorcycle. The driver of the truck, who said he did not see Lewis, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has stated that the truck driver is likely “most at fault” in the incident, although investigations are ongoing. Local residents have expressed concerns about the safety of the area, particularly at the intersection where the crash occurred.
