Fatal Largo shooting death of Cornelius McDonald – Obituary
Early Saturday morning, at approximately 12:45 a.m., police responded to a reported shooting outside Jasper’s Restaurant on Lottsford Road in Largo. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Cornelius McDonald of Upper Marlboro had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the suspect, who fled the area after the shooting. Investigators are also examining whether an altercation occurred between McDonald and the suspect before the incident.
Cornelius McDonald, recognized as a community leader in the region, was mourned by many, including Prince George’s County Council Member Wala Blegay, who released a statement expressing condolences.
