Fatal Phoenix pedestrian crash death of Edroy McCormick – Obituary.

Phoenix Police have confirmed the identity of a man who tragically passed away after being struck by a motorcycle on Friday evening.

The incident occurred near 50th Street and McDowell Road just after 6:00 p.m. Officers responded to the scene and found 36-year-old Edroy McCormick critically injured. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, McCormick later succumbed to his injuries.

 

According to investigators, McCormick was crossing McDowell Road outside of any designated crosswalk when he was hit by a westbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist initially fled the scene but later returned as detectives were conducting their investigation.

Authorities have confirmed that impairment was not a factor for the motorcyclist, and no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
