Fatal Cajon Pass pedestrian accident death of Jorge M. Morett – Obituary
Jorge M. Morett, a 26-year-old resident of Corona, tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle on the I-15 freeway in Cajon Pass. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office has classified the death as a suicide.
The incident occurred early Thursday morning, November 28, 2024, around 2:00 a.m., on the southbound I-15 approximately two miles past the Cleghorn Road exit. Reports indicate a collision initially involved a semi-truck and a white Ford Edge SUV, after which Morett was struck by the semi in the slow lane.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Morett was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol Inland Office is managing the investigation into the circumstances of this tragedy.
