Jessie L. Grahnert, a 32-year-old resident of Topeka, was identified as the victim of a deadly shooting on November 24.
Police responded to reports of gunfire around 8:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Kansas Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Grahnert, who had already succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are treating his death as a homicide, marking the 19th in Topeka this year.
