Fatal Box Elder County crash death of Angela and Michael Hester – Obituary.
A tragic crash on I-15 in Box Elder County claimed the lives of Angela Hester, 41, and her husband Michael Hester, 35, on November 26. The couple, from Washington state, was traveling south when their Toyota Prius struck a concrete barrier near Willard around 10 p.m. The collision caused the car to come to a stop sideways on the highway, where it remained on the left shoulder.
Following the crash, Michael Hester exited the vehicle, while Angela remained inside. Moments later, a Ford Expedition traveling south collided head-on with the Prius, striking the passenger side where Angela had been seated. The impact instantly killed her, while Michael was critically injured.
Despite the severity of the crash, the occupants of the Expedition were uninjured. Weather and road conditions are believed to have contributed to the initial collision, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
